Whenever I go for an interview for any company, I will always request for a remote working environment even though the office may be just less than 15 minutes of driving distance. I will make sure to provide the boss with the confidence that I will not let him down even though I am working remotely, that I will make sure to get the job done.
Thankfully I am allowed to do so in my current company. I am allowed to work remotely from Tuesday until Friday and just to report to the office only on Monday if there is something to report or any meetings with the team.
I am a software developer who is working in a software as a service startup company. It is as the usual, 8 hours per day, a 9 to 5 full time job, but remotely. I have been working in this company for more than a year, and I have constantly proven that working remotely works even though I am living near to the office. By making sure to complete the job required within the time given. Working remotely doesn't mean that you have to be in a big distance away from the office.
Communication is the main key in any remote working. Making sure that you will always update your employer of your task. If there would be any problem, do not hesitate to ask the team for support. If ever any of you readers would want to try this working remotely for your current job, always remember to make sure that you will respect the time of working hour and to always get the job done before any deadline.
