It's 4 PM and I'm struggling to stay awake. I need a nap. This morning I woke up at 8 AM. You're thinking that's not that early. It's not. Except I went to bed at 5 AM, or sometime after that. Just as I have every night for the past few weeks.
It's partly due to my day job, or night job. I work remotely and the time difference has me working at nights. Usually, I'm off to bed at 2 AM though. Yawn. I'm a night owl so it suits me but this, this is ridiculous. Yesterday I woke up at 1...1 PM. I had lunch at 4 PM. This can't be enough sunlight.
Who knows what's the cause. I've been trying to fall asleep earlier but it just won't happen. Working out at 2 AM? Still restless till it's almost dawn. Put away the screens they say, but what am I supposed to do when I'm wide awake and sleep escapes me? What am I supposed to do when my brain decides to have a brilliant idea that'll only take 10 minutes to code?
Today I woke up at 8. I've only napped once. Just 30 minutes, I was weak. I'm running on 3 hours of sleep and desperately typing away in the hopes that it keeps me awake. If I can't fall asleep early tonight, I give up. I'll just be nocturnal.
