I just had an idea while reading @philh and @lucjah and @brandonwislon and @basilesamel 's stuff.
It's not about the streak count -- it's about being part of something that makes us stronger.
"Sitting in front of a wall?" Really? How will that make my life better. Simply put, meditation and practice of anything can increase your capacity.
Let's increase our capacity with Streak Teams. Instead of competing for the highest number we can do as individuals -- @keni just hit #100 recently -- let's put ourselves into groups that can encourage each other to stick with it.
I think a range of about 20 might work really well. If I start today, I'm in the group with people who started 19 days ahead of me. Or, who's streak is a maximum of 19 more than mine.
Today, I think I have 5 or 6 - so I'd be with people at about 25.
If I miss a few days here and there ( as I tend to do sometimes ) I could still feel like I'm part of something and I'm not left behind on the wagon. If I join the next group, I'm the experienced one. I'm senior; the one with experience.
In this way, you'd never worry about missing a streak - the worst case scenario is that you'll be dropped as a leader into the next group.
Did I mention I'm starting a school?
