I am here. Sitting in a Café in Petaluma, CA. It's homey, offers serve-yourself refills on coffee for $0.50 and decent wifi. My physical geography is not my plan for us and our daily starting.
"You can't get there from here." -- not sure
That's one of my favorite quotes. It's clear, and entirely illogical. It means you can't get a direct flight from the current airport to your desired destination, but what are the options. To get anywhere, you start from where you are. Only option.
Let's say you want to start a business. Start communicating with people you know, like and trust. Even if you have burned them out with your thousands of unfinished ideas, they're still your people. Just admit to them that you suck at finishing things and you want to keep trying. Eventually, you'll get enough repetitions of something to develop a pattern you can recognize and capitalize on. You started. You started again. You keep starting.
Serve people you like. If you're part of a community like 200Wad, you're serving us by taking the few minutes to write. You're serving @baz by giving him honest feedback and you might enjoy becoming a Patron. I did. We support each other because nobody is sending us the basic income checks yet.
Start here. Embrace fear. Serve here.
If the voice of fear says, "yeah but..." -- just thank that part of yourself and proceed with the fear. Don't try to ignore it. Invite it along and start. And, let us know what you're working on in the comments here.
I'm working on something called ExtraBoss. No guarantees that I won't pivot at some point, but I love being active in early-stage businesses.
