If I were to sleep right now, I'd get 7 hours and 45 minutes.
That's not too bad. But that means I would have to fall asleep immediately ... which never happens.
I'm super jealous of people who can just close their eyes and drift off right away.
In order for me to sleep, I have to pretend that I'm sleeping. Meaning I have to try to think of nothing. Have you ever tried to think of nothing? Pretty hard. There's always something in my head.
Plenty of people are discussing and sharing evening routines online. Many recommend getting away from screens at least one hour before bedtime. Totally doesn't work for me. That's when I write my 200 words for the day, just before bed.
By now, I've read hundreds of tips on how to get ready for bed. From drinking some specific tea over doing yoga to putting white noise in the background.
Nobody has explained though how exactly I should be falling asleep. Like in what do I do once I close my eyes? What should I be thinking of? What do I do if I can't find a comfortable position and keep turning?
Somebody, please enlighten me.
7 hours left. I better get to it.
