There are 3 steps we need to take for success:
1- Show up: Don't worry about results, putting in the effort, or being productive. Just show up. Show up at the gym without worrying about what your work out will look like. Show up at your desk without worrying about getting everything done or doing everything properly.
Just show up. Be present. No resistance. No worry. No concern. You are where you are meant to be for the magic to happen. The magic can only happen when you show up, and that's all that matters.
Showing up helps you overcome the resistance of getting started, because you're not aiming to do anything but show up.
2- Step up: This is about doing what you are capable of doing. You apply what you know and can do. It's not too challenging because you are capable of achieving the task at hand. But you bridge the gap between knowing and doing. You take responsibility to take the action. You are willing to do the work.
"Now that I'm here, what's expected of me? What should I do?"
And you do that.
3- Level up: This is where what you now know and can do isn't enough. You need to push yourself harder. You need to step outside your limitations. You don't want to repeat the same routines. You want to do more. You want to do better. You want to do different.
You embrace the uncertainty when leveling up because you must let go of what you currently know.
To get started, you simply show up.
To get going, you step up.
To start soaring, you level up.
