Thanks for your comments and the compliment. Understanding marketing at its core comes from the pre-internet days. In college Marketing 101 there was The 5 Ps of marketing. Product, Price, Promotion, Place, and People. Now that still applies today. Let's break this out, by asking questions.
Product- What is my value proposition? Need to understand your competition.
Price - For what I sell based on competition am I priced competitive.
Promotion - In the modern era what marketing channel gives the highest return on my investment?
Place - What platform do people see and notice my product or service?
People - Does your messaging resonate with people? In the modern era that can be based on Social Media, and Mobile App and Website Metrics.
Just as an example I created a brand Low Cost Analytics to market my website Mobile App reporting and analysis service on Fiverr. People were critical of the brand name because it sounded cheap. Well they were wrong. There are small business and organizations that cannot afford to pay a large consulting group to do their reporting and analysis. The people - clients leave great feedback which has grown my practice. In 2018 I decided to invest in a new logo. The reason was that I noticed that all the sellers in the category are using the Google Analytics color scheme and the logo. I decided to change it up and once I did it got more attention. When I created my data visualization service I did the same thing and I receive more client inquiries.
