Today I read an article about minimalistic life/task management system by a blogger I read regularly and subscribed to his mailing list.
The funny part is that it is not minimalistic at all. He just described how he is using Trello for this, Things for that, some mindmap tool for this and that, how is planning short-term, long-term, life goals, etc.
One sentence got stuck in my mind. He said ... "My agenda is getting so complicated that I need to use these set of tools to not get crazy" ...
I mean it sounds stupid to me. People are busy I know but I think you shouldn't get to the point when it is getting too complicated and you cannot simply handle it.
Sure you should be organized and somehow manage your projects and tasks but not to use 25 apps to track your life. Cuz if you in this point the problem is not about the system but about your workload.
My opinion is that first you should simplify, cut, pick the essential tasks and projects ... after that look for apps to keep it organized. Not the other way around.
That's it for today.
Take care and enjoy your weekend.:)
