The key to most things is putting in the reps.

Yes, we want to get better, faster, stronger.

But it won't happen tomorrow.

We're putting reps in the bank.

We're hoping the interest rate is good.

This isn't necessarily about working out either.

Writing daily on this platform is a way of putting in the reps.

Brushing your teeth is putting in the reps.

Every time you show up for a new habit, you're putting in the reps.

Putting in the reps does a interesting thing to our brains.

The more often we do a thing, the more that thing becomes a default.

Now, if I'm in the kitchen in the morning, I'll autopilot to pulling out a frying pan and starting to make breakfast. It's so ingrained that on more than one occasion, I've made and eaten breakfast before remembering my first meeting is a breakfast meeting.

Because I put in the reps.

Now, if I sit down to my desk, I reach for my startup ritual checklist. It just happens.

Because I put in the reps.

If you put toothpaste on a toothbrush, you know what will happen.

Because you put in the reps.

What's worth putting the reps in for today?
