United Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) celebrated 2006 as the 150th anniversary of Nikola Tesla's birth. He was born in 1856 in the Austrian Empire (around Croatia) and received advanced education in engineering and physics when he was 14.
He made 700 patent and a lot of inventions related to electricity and magnetic power. He got interested in electricity by his physics professor's demonstration.
He entered the university when he was at 19, and earned the highest grade at his first year. He was an insanely hard worker i.e., he worked from 3 a.m. to 11 p.m., no Sundays or holidays excepted according to his claim.
However, he became addicted to gambling and lost his allowance for the tuition, and ended up with being dropped out of school.
After he dropped out, he was away from his friends and family, and it took a while to recover mentally.
His carrier turned into the more positive cycle after he started to work at Budapest (at his 25), and Paris (at his 26) as a draftsman and an installing engineer respectively. At his 28, he was asked to move to the United States by his manager in Paris.
