"The movie" has sounded a different from TV show especially when I was young. Today I would like to write about a couple of movies that influenced my life and my way of thinking:

  1. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
When I was a high school student, I just discovered that our library in the school has a collection of movies while talking with one of the librarians. During that time, rental movie or TV show was popular but I cannot afford to rent by myself.
I was so excited and asked her recommendation, which was "The Shawshank Redemption." I could not forget the very first experience of watching the movie at school. Not only that, the quality of the movie was so impressive. Even if I was high school students, I learned the power of continuation and even if you are in a very bad situation or environment like jail, we should find a hope that you can continue to believe.
  2. The Matrix (1999)
This was also so popular at that time thanks to the famous scene where Keanu Reeves is bending backward and avert the bullets. This was the first sci-fi movie that gave me the idea that there might be some possibility of "Oracle" or "Big Brother," who designed our world and monitor us. After that, I try to ask myself if I was blind and tamed by the system or any way to find a way to out.

This will be continued. What are the movies which influenced a lot to you?

@hiro Both of these are great choices. Shawshank is in my top 10 all-time favorite movies list. The Matrix is really great also. For me, I would humbly submit Titanic as another favorite.
