What's included in the box?
-2 Cards (with the option to add more)
-1 USB to Micro-USB flat cable
The Mooltipass device is similar to 2FA in that in combines something that you have (card) with something that you know (PIN). It also, basically counts as a keyboard when it plugs in your credentials which allows it to work on basically any device. To access your passwords after painstakingly storing them manually, you must plug the Mooltipass into whatever device you're using (tablet, phone, computer), then insert your card (think of this as your personal ID), and enter your PIN. The PIN can either be all letters, all numbers, or a combination of both. Be careful though, if you enter your PIN wrong three times in a row, the card will be disabled.
Here's why you should choose Mooltipass over LastPass (popular software password manager):
1. Mooltipass is open source which means that individuals like you and I can review the source code to make sure no funny business is happening with our data that could put us at risk.
2. Mooltipass reduces the number of attack vectors by typing your passwords for you (It acts like a USB keyboard).
After installing both the chrome extension and the app on my computer and enabling 2FA on everything I could, I can honestly say that I feel like I have a fortress defending me now.
