Despite being in a relationship for seven years, little gestures still matter. A bouquet of flowers, bringing her to a nice dinner, massages, even though helping out with chores can make a difference, especially when she's tired or in a bad mood.

Occasionally I might take things for granted, which is why it's important to remind myself it takes continuous effort to make a relationship work. Just like our body, it decays when you neglect it or don't nourish it.

The other day when I just finished some work, I realized she's stressed at work. It didn't help we ended up arguing later. But I decided to make it up by bringing her to somewhere new for dinner.

Not sure why it took so long for me to realize,that it's just as important to create new experiences with your partner. Even dining in at a new place, or explore a new area in a city makes a difference.

The new place we went is a japanese restaurant from another town. It brought back old memories from Japan as the place was decorated just like those we went in Osaka. We weren't surprised to find the restaurant was operated by a Japanese.

It wasn't a fancy dinner but that night was one of the memorable ones in months. Now I look forward to where we might go next week :)

    @davidnge Thank you!
    <<to create new experiences >> yes, it's so easy to slip into daily routines and then be too tired, while it really can be something small... I keep forgetting about that...
    <<memories from Japan>>, we went there last year, I loved it! It was just Tokyo, so I envy you seeing more, I wish we go there again and travel...

      @lucjah thanks! Japan was easily one of the best trips (and food) ever! Hope I'll revisit someday :)

    Relationships are an interesting and sometimes not simple thing because you need to build and develop it.

    @davidnge that's nice to see your empathy to your partner! That's amazing!

    @davidnge that's so awesome that you realized it! I'm glad it led you to a very good night, and I wish you all the best on all of your next weeks. ;) I wish more people will come to this realization!
