Dear younger me,
It's 2019 and I am back to talk to you about career.

1. NEVER STOP LEARNING. Especially after college.
Learn from books, forums, online videos and through experience. That will be the best ROI.

2. Learn skills that CAN'T BE AUTOMATED. Although IT is going to be a part of everything, you will need to be good at skills like:

- Presentation
- Writing
- Persuasion
- Negotiation
- Marketing
- Financial literacy

3. No one - not ONE person will care about your career like you do. So you will need to have a plan of your own - make changes as you learn things on the way...and SPEAK UP.

Ask for a raise, ask for better responsibilities and always speak for yourself.

4. Learn how to network - keep in touch with your best professors from school, your friends from college and the people you meet from different experiences including your 9-5.

Even in 2019, it not what you know but who you know that will drive your career and success. Take time to build relationships - you can't do everything on your own. Particularly the business you will end up running by 2019.

@keni Great stuff. For some people building relationships comes naturally. For the rest of us we have to work at it. Continuous learning is the key!

@brandonwilson - Building relationships outside of work is easy for me. However I am not good at keeping in touch with people that aren't family or close friends.
