When one of my favorite writers Mark Manson turned 30, he asked his subscribers to write to him about what they would tell their 30 year old self.
He explains this experiment on this post.

10 Life Lessons to Excel In Your 30s – A crowd-sourced article from my older readers on what they all wish they knew when they were 30-years-old

After reading it, I got two ideas for here.

1) Could we do a similar community sourced article - like the topic of the week where it is based around our experiences and mistakes? With the type of diversity and experience we have here, we could easily come up with a wealth of information that can be a very useful article. We can start the book project once we see how this idea turns out.

2) Could we base the articles around the following topics:

     a) What I learnt as a teen, in my 20s/30s/40s/50s.
     c) My health through the years
     d) The lessons I learnt in dealing with people who don't think like me
     e) The business mistakes I learnt from
     f) What I cherish from my parents/grandparents wisdom.

I think an article is doable and soon.

Shall we?

@keni I have read his book some time ago. But maybe it's worth a re-read as his wisdom is timeless. Today I have just read some of his articles. Loved this one https://markmanson.net/goals happy sunday!

@keni Yeah, we could. Cool suggestions. We could even collect all the written Letters to my younger self of everyone or cognitive dissonance. I think Baz would decide after the topic of the week changes.

@seunoyebode - I think letters from my younger self is perfect for this. We could organize them with subtopics to make it easier to read.

@keni I actually had the idea while writing mine; open a website that curates all "letters to my younger self", put the "letters" in categories or hashtags. and accept new entries till it becomes a public repository of reflective wisdom of some sort/
