I have decided to give Vipassana a try. Have you heard of it?
It's a 10-day meditation retreat, but unlike many other reatreats, this one is actually free*. There are some rules though. You have to follow a strict routine every day, eat a few meals, and the most difficult part, you can't talk or interact with anyone else there. You can't even bring a book or write, you are supposed to be totally engaged with your mind, for 10 days. 10 days...
I know it's going to be an amazing experience, and i can't wait to do it. But i am scared shitless. Who knows what will happen to my mind? All the distractions you have in your everyday life gone, just you and your mind alone with each other. It's going to be an explorative journey, unlike anything i have ever experienced, into who i really am.
I will probably get withdrawal symptoms from life, and i know it's going to be difficult. But i hope i get out on the other end, a little bit wiser, with a little bit calmer mind.
I've already reserved the vacation days, I'm doing this in June. I can't wait.
*It's free because the previous participants of the course donate so that everyone "Rich or poor" will be able to do this course*
