Yesterday was that day but I would like to highlight what I have accomplished since the beginning.

I still can't believe I wrote that many words and I am excited to continue writing more.

So, why didn't I write yesterday? My day was out of the norm.

(My day for writing starts in the evening.)

On Friday evening, I decided to visit my parents for the weekend. This meant I won't be in my apartment, I wouldn't have to worry about my meals, and I can catch up on whatever I wanted to. At least, that's what I had in my mind but that was not the reality.

When I got home on Friday evening, I learned that my parents had their friends visiting them for dinner. That meant I would have to be part of it and I wouldn't be able to do what I planned to do for the weekend. I ended up having a great time with the guests and by the time everything was cleaned, it was already 11 PM. I decided to watch an episode of the show before going to bed.

I woke up at 8 AM the next day. I was lazy to get out of the bed so I was on my phone for two hours scrolling through social media and talking to my friends in India.

Before I knew it, it was time to go do my taxes with my tax guy. On our way back home after finishing up taxes, I decided to stop by Costco to pick up some things. Like usual, the Costco visit turned out to be for an hour and a half.

We finally got home to have lunch before I turned in to a hangry person. We decided to watch an Indian movie that my parents have been saving to watch it together for a while. What I didn't realize was that the movie was three hours long.

When we finished the movie, it was time to go meet my friend to hangout and eat dinner.

I realized I didn't write anything for the day after coming home from dinner. It was too late to write by that time.

Nevertheless, I was having a great day with the fam and friends. To be honest, I don't feel that bad losing the streak like I thought I would when I started writing every day.

@itsabhinaya the most important thing is that you don't give up. As my friend always says: "all that matters is that you start one more time than you stop".
And besides, now you have a nice goal of beating your previous streak record to begin with ;)
