I have this fantasy of a week where I live the same day over and over. An ideal day.
When I get to the gym, I put my bag in the lockers and I bring my phone with me to the open floor space. I perform the strength ritual and listen to a fiction audio book (I only listen to fiction while doing this). I follow a checklist of exercises and log difficulty on scales for strength and control.
I pack up and walk to the dance house.
I'm there 10 minutes early so that I can get settled and find a good spot in the room. For me this is front left, mid right, or mid centre although I'm not sure why. I walk out of the class feeling like I've grown and like I've worked out.
I head to the bus and I pull out the bus book while I wait. I always have a bus book going. It gets me through a book every fortnight or less.
When I get to my front door, I take a breath before I open it so that I can appreciate the place I live.
If David is home, he greets me.
