Hey, Fellow writer.
It was quite interesting to know how one small break streak makes you stop writing at all. I thought it really doesn’t matter since I could go back again after a quick hiatus. I was wrong. One day, become 1 week, one week becomes one month, and now it was almost two months.
I occasionally write from time to time here but not every day.
If you think there is a momentum in moving forward like keeping your streak. There is also one for not writing at all.
Most of the OGs of writing here seems already have 100+ streak. Ugggh, I also want that badge besides my name just to stroke me Ego.
It feels like some of the days that I didn’t write here like a wasted day since I didn’t document my thoughts. I don’t have a reference on what I’m thinking on that day.
Also, The consistent 59 streak is one of my longest habit that I’ve done so far before I’ve broken it. I need to pat myself for these simple great achievements. Some of my habits that I start only good for 1-2 weeks before I completely forgot about it.
I like to borrow some important concepts in Zen Meditation where if your mind starts to follow certain trains of thoughts you can always go back to your breathing. No need to get attached to it. And you don’t need to be angry and beat yourself up. Just let go and starts breathing again.
The good thing about not being a famous writer is no one really knows if you didn’t write at all. Only yourself.
I’ve decided to upgrade my account to Patron so that I could write some things on private and I’ve got more pressure to write since I have something on the line.
