As I said in my previous post, I recently moved to another city. I've spent the best part of winter working from home, and I needed a change. I like to be able to workout 5 meters away from my desk, but I also need to go outside more often than I did. So right away, I joined the first coworking space that looked ok.

Despite the cost (money, commuting time), after only a week going to a coworking space sounds like a good move. People are super friendly here and have warmly welcomed me, by inviting me to join the group lunch and the 4 pm snack. There are a ton of events, both inside the space and in the city I would have never heard about otherwise. Stuff like:

- sports activities, like people running during lunch or yoga/meditation in the morning

- board games during breaks

- an internal social network for broadcasting questions/events to the community

- special evenings (video games, professional conferences, parties…)

They also favor zero waste approaches, and they also have a workshop for fixing bikes, which is the kind of thing (reducing my footprint, recycling more, using my body more) that I'm more and more into.

Before moving I was working with very negative people, which was having an impact on my mood, so even though I'm still in the honeymoon phase, I can already feel it's pretty great to meet people with so much energy and positivity.

@clement How lucky you are! "You're the average of the 5 people who you spend your time with." Working with positive people would lead you to a positive life :-D.

@5plus6 yep! Thanks for this reminder, that's a great idea to keep in mind, especially since the social relationships are so important for our wellbeing. Hopefully, this positive energy will be fruitful, wait and see.
But I'm indeed quite lucky this time because I picked the closed coworking space from my place, I did not go further than that
