Penang is a beautiful state of Malaysia. It consist of two part, the island, where the capital city is Georgetown and the mainland, Butterworth. It is place with full of surprises. There are a lot reason for the surprises, I could go back all the way to when it started but I am not going to do that. I will be focusing on one main reason, and it is of how the food in Penang could taste so delicious.

Malaysia is a multiracial cultural country, consisting of Malays, Chinese and Indians. This is one of the factor that makes the food taste so good. Just a small disclosure, I am not saying that Penang's food are the best. I believe that every local food in every country has their own speciality.

Anyways, back to the topic, the Malay food, we have Nasi Lemak, Keropok Lekor, Ikan Bakar, Lemang, Rendang, Apom Balik, Nasi Campur.

For the Indian food, we have Nasi Kandar, Banana Leaf Rice, Briyani Rice, Cheese Naan, Murtabak, Tandoori Chicken, Putu Mayam.

For the Chinese food, we have Char Kuey Teow, Laksa, Hokkien Prawn Mee, Wan Tan Mee, Jawa Mee, Curry Mee, Char Hor Fun.

There are still more but too many to be written down. I am sorry but you will have to manually 'Google' the rest by yourself. As for what have been mentioned above, it doesn't mean that the foods are separated by races.

There are Malays that cooks Chinese and Indian food, same goes to the Chinese and Indian. We can see Malays cooking Char Kuey Teow and Tandoori Chicken. The Indians making Laksa and Nasi Lemak. The Chinese making Apom Balik and Jawa Mee. They all have their own rendition taste of it.

All those foods are just as delicious as it is no matter who makes it. The best part of it is that you can literally find them at every corner of Penang. You will never be lost without finding food. With all that said about foods, it is time for me to have my dinner now!
