I just noticed that I was getting dragged on watching and reading about samurai genre anime and manga. It was quite crazy to know how they are too dedicated to refining their skills to achieve strength and mastery of their skills.

I've seen in a lot of times in the shounen type of animes where the main character was going to journey to improve and refine their skills. I'm currently reading Vagabond manga. Which goes back to the era of Samurai in Japan. The author of this was the creator of Slum Dunk. This manga was so good and I was wondering why it doesn't have anime adoption. I guess it's because of too much blood.

One thing that always hit me is the master and apprentice relationship. The master who always speak some profound wisdom to his student but the student doesn't understand what it really means 'cause they are too stubborn to listen and they have their own ego on the front. Until such moment when they calm themselves, they will be able to listen and understand.

I like how this manga explains a lot of deep concepts about mastering yourself through conquering your emotions and becoming aware of your thoughts. Sounds like a Zen.

@hiro It seems I'm out of my word when I mention about the "lots of deep concepts". Initially, I did think that I will expand the "deep concepts" thing. haha. Well, I have to think and recall some nuggets of wisdom that I've got on the manga.
