I'm not sure how many times I have already started to write this today's post. It feels like I have plenty of ideas, but after just a couple of sentences, I feel lost. I don't know how to continue from there or it feels I already said everything about that topic.
Having an idea doesn't necessarily mean there is something to write about it. The train of thought might come sometimes, but that usually leads into some unexpected results.
But usually, it's relatively easy to write a few hundred words about anything. I'm sure I could have written enough about any of those previous ideas today. Maybe the issue wasn't that, but the fact that I once again had so many ideas and not enough focus that instead of finishing one of them I was already jumping ahead and started thinking the next one.
For thiss kind of writing that's not optimal. Not when you actually need to get something written quickly. But if I have time it's a good way to draft longer texts. It's a completely different way of writing. Building up the structure first and then expanding it to an actual text. And that process requires its time.
