Lots of us here on 200wordsaday are trying to be programmers.
I say trying, not because we don't program, but because it always feels like time spent away from code isn't rewarded - as say time away from alcohol or prison.
The more you code, the more you start to recognize the patterns. Your editor becomes your friend. You get the shortcut keys under your fingers, it feels great.
Stay away for a couple of months and rust sets in.
Musicians are the same way.

No tears are to be had for me, but a few tired fingers from typing all day seem to scream a little.
A little complaining, a little feeling. I need to get up and out and exercise a bit.
On the day you need to complain a little, just stop. Stare into a wall. Let it go. None of it has any real meaning. Stare until you realize how fun it is to stare into nothingness -- into yourself.
The wall. The stare. The complaint. The little things.
