Perhaps you are that person.
That person that uses slight variations of basically the same password on pretty much everything. I confess that that person is me. It has been a silly habit of mine for years. I traded conveniency for security for years. Although nothing really bad has happened as a result (that I can tell), I know that it was foolish. One of my most used passwords (well most of it lol) has been in a data breach and shows up on the ever so useful site, Have I Been Pwned. As a person looking to build a career in IT, this dangerous practice can no longer go on.
Today is the last day I have weak passwords.
Today is the last day I don't have 2FA enabled on everything.
Today, I will be using Two Factor Auth List and Mooltipass (a open source hardware password storage device) to secure my internet identity.
I used to use Lastpass (which is a password manager) to store my passwords, but just as I don't trust a software wallet 100% to hold my cryptocurrency, I don't trust software 100% to store my passwords (especially when my master password is also on Have I Been Pwned).
Expect my next 200 words a day, to be a review of Mooltipass.
