I was the first in my family to get glasses at an early age about 11 years ago. It was my fault. I used to study under bad lighting, awkward angles, watched way too much TV and squinted my eyes to play with lights in distance at night.

So my family had no idea what do when the doctor prescribed them to start wearing glasses every day. I vividly remember going to the store with my uncle for the first time.

It was a physical store with salespeople and the person asked me a few questions about what I was looking for in glasses. Not knowing anything about glasses, I answered what I thought would look good on me. The salesperson then offered four choices to choose from. I didn't know I could ask for more choices so I chose the one that I thought was ok.

Right around that time, I moved to America. After a few years, my prescription changed and it was time to get a new pair of glasses. I browsed through the options at the doctor's office and found some that I thought looked good on me but the sizes were either too big, too small or I couldn't justify the price.

That's when I started looking online and found EyeBuyDirect.com. I loved how the website functioned. You can sort through rims, sizes (exact dimensions if you prefer), colors, prices, ect.,

I have ordered glasses through them ever since then (about 9 years now). Recently, I wanted to give physical stores a try to find my next pair of glasses.

Next post is about what happened when I did that.
