Nobody's getting any younger here, 35 today 🤪🥳
Around my 30th I had a burnout. Since then I took work a bit slower. I wanted to see the world, I wanted to do things in my way. Not let the corporates or system or whoever dictate the tempo. Take it plan-plan (slow in Bahasa, I love these words), enjoy life and feel grounded again.
But lately, I've been thinking slowly more about the future. It just happened naturally, but also include whiny parents talking about settling 😂
I posted a thread on Reddit asking questions about FIRE. And a seasoned entrepreneur (20+ years) gave me some solid advice: think about the future now. Think about investing in the future and your pension. Save money for when you don't want to work anymore as so many entrepreneurs forget about this.
Also, the older you get, the less energy you have. The harder it will be to maintain a good pace and focus. Children or other obstacles 😂 will make this a lot harder.
So after 4-5 years of taking it plan-plan, for 2019 I've decided to pick things up a notch. I want to stop wallowing in the 'find my passion' thing and focus on making profits. I want to learn how to network and sell. Make it a priority for business. I want to work more together with others and expand my network among developers, designers, copywriters, makers, doers, my kind of people.
