"Avoid spending time to earn or save money."

We do this a lot over here.

We would rather use time and expend serious energy to save a few bucks. I never liked the idea as a kid, neither do I now.

Here are some tips to avoid spending time to earn or save money.

-> Do Laundry Outside or use a dry cleaner. Some see this as a luxury, but I would argue otherwise.

-> Have a meal planner, times table or eat out (if you can). That would save you thinking about what to eat. Looking back now, I can only imagine how many hours I lost to thinking about what to eat in the university

-> Wear the same outfit - Mark Zuckerberg style.

-> Use ridesharing so that you can work during transit.

-> Pay higher rent to have a shorter commute.

-> Don’t spend time searching for bargains.

"For several years I spent a lot of time finding creative ways to reduce my living expenses in order to be able to donate more. In hindsight, if I had assigned a value of just $20 an hour to my time, most of those efforts at cost-reduction weren’t actually cost-effective."

@seunoyebode nice article. Thanks for sharing. Just to add on to this - for wealth creation, instead of (just) saving, just find ways to earn more. That's more scalable. It's something I overheard before and definitely found useful. What do you think?
