Another Client Project Shutdown

I m a little moody yesterday because another client project has been shut down. I have been freelancing for the past ten years, it should be quite common for client's project closing down after some time, but I will still be upset if the project is closing down.

I did expect this happen for the last few month conversations, just that I always wish that things like this everyone can handle professionally. Although this client is one of my close friend's cousin, the way he handles things are total cannot make it. For yesterday case, I been chasing payment twice already and want to find out if he is not interested, then we close down this project somewhat then idle there, and I need to keep request payment for him. His domain is expired soon, so I try to ask again yesterday and to see if there is a need to renew the project domain name. 

The only reply I get it don't want, so I re-confirm again how about the project? He keeps quiet, and after a while, another guy contacts me say he been instructed to help to move the project over to his end. 

I was like huh, can't we all do this properly and professionally? I talk to the guy and arrange the things, the guy knows nothing, and thought is only need something share hosting. After the guy finds out this is a full web application that needs to run on VPS, he needs to arrange a server in his office for it.

In the end, I continue to WhatsApp the client, I will arrange the moving and will charge until last month, for your convenient do you want to renew the domain since I am going to bill you? He remains silent don't want to reply to me.

      @knight Often the best approach is to be direct. Can still be polite but it sounds like you have nothing to be embarrassed about.
