A couple of days ago I lost my writing streak, and I lost it again yesterday, as I was traveling to Bahrain. The trip, by car, took around 9 and a half hours, even though the actual trip should only take 4 and half to 5 hours. But delays on the borders made the trip that much longer.
I often lose my writing streak while traveling. I've experienced it a number of times on 750words.com, which I still use for private writing. I'm not sure whether I should accept losing my streak, or dedicate time for writing. The problem is when I'm traveling with family, and I don't like to take time off when I'm with them. Although, I suspect, we'll all have some down time during our upcoming trip. The kids (and the wifey) will want time to watch YouTube or catch up with WhatsApp conversations. That can give me some time for personal reflection and writing.
And since I'm now away and have some time to myself, I'll be working on my writings. It sounds strange to say this (why didn't I say "to write" instead of "working on my writings"), but that's because writing involves much more than what goes on the page.
I need to organize the writing projects I want to work on, consider research material to use, brainstorm the projects, outline them, etc. And when working on multiple projects, it's also essential to prioritize what to work on and when.
I'm looking forward to diving into this. :D
