In the book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell talked about the Roseto Mystery. The unique thing about the Rosetans was that "they were dying of old age".
The Rosetans defied virtually every known health law. Yet they rarely had heart diseases, nor got sick. They were just dying of old age.
The factor that was concluded to be responsible for the Rosetan Mystery was attitude and lifestyle. The people in the community were close; they knew each other well, supported each other, said hello to each other, and lived with multiple generations in their homes.
How about that as a reason for generational sound health?
Something can happen via a thousand ways and some more.
This shows that at every point in time, we often do not see all the possibilities.

Truly anything can happen a thousand ways and some more.
