A few years from now, I'm on a stage talking about how I overcame my struggles - here's what I say:
I struggled a lot growing up because I didn't have good habits. My mom put some structures in place but I didn't embrace them. In fact, I resisted them. As a rebel-personality type, I would have been better off seeking challenges and working with a mentor. A father might have sufficed.
Now, I'm realizing the power of habits and systems. When I say habits, I think of my morning writing habit that I've been enjoying for 84 days non-stop. It's pathetic when you consider I've been a member of the 750words.com site for nearly 3,000 days ( later this month ). It took me that long to embrace the morning routine.
Use systems to get results.
A software download and a single-page of copy with some images and a buy button have been paying the bills for a decade. That's the kind of system I'd like others to know about. Imagine if I had two or three or ten of these.
You won't get their on your own. There's too much to know and too many distractions. However, we're all here to help. Just ask.
