This post is Part 7 for 'the latest technology to brew tastier coffee'.

Thanks to the advancement of technology in recent years, our life has been changed a lot. But what about coffee brewing? Manual? Hand-drip? Hand-grind? Of course, it is not necessarily needed to use the latest technology everywhere. We can still enjoy retro tools.

Just out of my curiosity, I wondered i there are some tools taking an advantage of the latest technology even if it does not actually worth spending such cost. Let's see.

Hand Drip Machine

Bubblelab has the latest-technology looking product called, 'Drip', which automatically brew the coffee with hand drip by machine…. I thought this was funny. Hand drip by machine…

This machine looks like just a pole on the dek but it transforms their appearance to the hinged pipe, and pour the water as demanded. Through the app, you can control the temperature and the volumne of the water, brewing time, and the trace of poured water, which specified by your hand in the app.

What I see potential in this machine is once they can collect the data from famous barista, it can be repeated by anyone. It would be a sort of 3D printing the taste.

iDrip is the similar one that you can control the taste through the app by scanning the barcode from the coffee beens packages.

@hiro I have read about the pour-over coffee method but I am not convinced. I want a preparation that leads to a consistent cup of coffee every time. This idea with the filter and pouring a certain way adds too many variables for me. I'm still a fan of the French Press.
