Earlier this year, I set a schedule for my personal life. It turns out that from this month, it gets disrupted and eventually, I fail to follow it. I think there's a part of me that was wrong in approaching my schedule planning. At first, I was planning to get more work done than getting my life together.

So, I decided to put more hours for work and less time for my life. It was not a balanced situation, especially after I read several sources that mention, we need to sleep 8 hours a day. For me personally, that's ridiculous amount to waste just to sleep. However, having to know the impact of sleep deprived, I'd rather sleep than die early.

One of sources I found, mention that one should divide their time as follows :

Sleep : 8 hours

Work : 9 hourse

Exercise : 2 hours

Life    : 5 hours

Since I don't do a rigorous training, 2 hours gym/ exercise is just too much. So, I can add an hour to account into my commuting time. That's fairly reasonable right?

In my previous schedule, I set about 11 hours working time,4 hours dealing with life and only 6 hours of sleep, the rest I meditate, exercise and journaling.

As of now, I am trying to tweak my schedule into more reasonable plan. I need to change it in order to have healthier lifestyle. Thus, it will also help me perform better in my work.

Well, I learned from my lesson this month. I hope this week, I can sleep better and stop obsessing about business ideas or upcoming projects.

@macchiata I heard a really good quote the other day. It was something like:
You can have just about anything you want if you do the work and let go of time frames.

You're doing great. There will be time for rushing. Enjoy this moment, this idea in front of you, this night of sleep as you're there. The rest will be there tomorrow, I promise.

@rosieodsey I hope so. I am trying to let go of time frames. Just enjoy the process, thinking about long term gains instead short term gains.

@brandonwilson yes and I am going to take sleep very seriously again because I tripped over my laptop cable yesterday and hit my forehead on the wall pretty bad.
