You just created something. Congratulations! Now you want to show it to the world. Warning: the world is harsh. Showing your creation to the world is more similar to throwing it from a mountain than dropping it in a slow warm river. But if it survives the journey — not without your help and support, — then the world really needs your creation.

If you don't have a lot of following on the social media and you don't have many friends (about 1000 is a good starting point) then, chances are, the first obstacle you are going to face is that there is nobody around. Thus the mountain turns into an endless desert you are wandering, looking for an oasis — your audience. That's because people were living just fine without your creation.

People already have too much to care about. And if you try to attract their attention, they won't listen. There are so many things fighting for attention nowadays that people don't pay attention to anything anymore. Therefore, just a fancy packaging won't help your creation to survive in this world.

If your creation solves a problem someone was trying to solve but couldn't find a way — it will be a relief to them. If it simply brings them joy or is pleasurable in any other way — there is a good chance people will like it. People will tell others that they finally found something so useful! In other words, bring value to people. Start doing it even before they paid attention to your creation.

Now imagine you are that creation.
