At school, I hated jumping. There was this high jump discipline during sports classes. There were an elastic, two uprights, a mat, and a lot of stress. I was a bit fat, with a very low amount of stamina. I was always among the worst performers--although not always THE worst one, I think that there were often one or two guys with even worse body coordination than me. Yes, I think so... I can't remember clearly, it's so distant, and maybe still slightly painful. What I do remember is that there were many girls much better than me. Erk. But at least, there was one good thing with high jump: the ordeal was short-lived. The elastic was set at a ridiculously low height, so that everyone could pass it. Probably at the level children's knees, or something like that. So I COULD actually jump, as everyone else. And then, the elastic was gradually lifted. Once someone couldn't pass the new height three times in a row, he or she was eliminated. It was going super fast for me. Good that this topic is about jump. The most horrifying sport session wasn't jump, but rope climbing. But no need to go through it here 🤗

@philh hihihi... <<a bit fat, with a very low amount of stamina>> <3
It's such a sweet cute childhood story <3
I was long and thin and... with a very low amount of stamina, horrible at jumping, don't even mention a rope ;-))) but... I was pretty good at throwing a (small rubber they were) ball
    and you?

@lucjah I was lame at ball throwing either, I must say 😒
Fortunately, this sport was almost never practiced. But sending any kind of ball has always been an issue for me 🤫 Except maybe volleyball, I got that one slightly better 💪😬

@philh @lucjah I was LAME at everything physical. I'm the guy who still has nightmares about being back in PE class in high school. I was the last kid huffing and puffing trying to complete the mile before the 20-minute mark. People talk about bullying today but does anyone remember shirts vs skins?? For a chubby kid that was its own torture. At least I more than made up for it academically.

@philh @brandonwilson PE classes were nightmares themselves, yet now, looking back, I am not sure why, as I was probably in the middle on the lameness scale... Just that my closest friends were the fittest ones...
