Since the beginning of this year one of my goals was to get good at writing. I'm proud to announce that yesterday I landed my first writing gig.
This is definitely one of the highlights of the year as I never thought I would make a living writing online.
One of the reasons why I landed the gig was in part due to the blog posts I've written. This was a revelation. Many, including myself, have written the benefits of writing and putting yourself out there, but to see it unfold right in front of me is still a pleasant surprise.
When I wrote those blog posts for fun a couple months ago, I didn't expect it to be the reason I got hired, still I think it's an effort worth noting and continuing for.
This will be my 100th post on 200WAD. I think the reason why I was able to sustain this was because 200 words are not that difficult for me to write, and that 200 words are just enough to flesh out a thought.
By 200WAD estimation, I have written over 100 pages worth of content since I started. Although if you were to ask me, probably 20% of those content are decent. In comparison I've written far less on my blog. This leads to my second revelation. If I were to write just 200 words on my blog everyday I would've easily crush my writing goal.
Which is why I'll start writing 400 words a day. 200 words here on 200WAD, and the other 200 on my blog.
