Came across this platform a couple of days ago, and I decided to give it a shot. My English isn't perfect, and I'm struggling a lot with my grammar, so I thought I'd combine the two things - my goal of writing more consistently and practicing my English writing.
Besides writing more (200 words a day to be exact), I've started 11 other challenges with theXeffect (/r/thexeffect if you're interested). I started my first cards in December and it actually had a major impact on me getting things done. My first three goals were brush & floss every day, doing the dishes and run 2 km every day. I have now started over with additional 9 soon-to-be-habits, which includes walking every day, meditation, no alcohol, no fastfood, stretching/yoga, reading every day etc. Lowered my goal with running every day to minimum three times a week. After three weeks of running every day in December, I noticed a big risk of getting injured without restitution. So instead of running 2 km every day, I will aim for 3 runs a week with 2-6 km per run.
I'm very excited for the following months, and I can't wait to get back here tomorrow to continue my writing and English practicing.
