I want to create something that lasts. It's a crazy idea to imagine that everything will be forgotten about you eventually. But words always endure. We still read books that were written hundreds of years ago.
I want to improve. Writing is a skill that can be practiced. And practicing it every day, even with just 200 words can make all the difference in the long run. I need to get into the habit of writing no matter what and not only when I feel like it.
I need to make sense of what's in my head. By writing it down, I force it into a structure. Everything starts to come together eventually. It's fascinating to read what I wrote years ago. It's like time travel.
I have fun writing. I like to play around with words, to find the perfect combination. Words can be incredibly powerful. They can move us to tears or burst into laughter. I want to be able to write like that. Even it takes me 50 years to get there.
To be honest, today I didn't feel like writing. I still managed to get 200 words onto the page. I'm proud of that.
