So in the past couple of days I've been embarrassingly inconsistent on 200WAD. The initial day my streak got broken was a bit uncontrollable. I felt bad and took a break. Became a patron. Then I lost my two days streak to laziness...LOL

But anyways while away i got busy....

I did some personal stuffs.

I cleaned up my age long side project and put it back online. It was online before, but I was doing Digital Ocean like a rookie and i was losing > $5 every month on a website just gathering dust. So I brought down that server.

Agrojobs.co is back online. It's a site that will, starting this week, aggregate agriculture related jobs. Agriculture is a big deal here, so i'll start with Nigeria then Africa.

Then I did put up another side project online. FavLists (favlists.xyz). How do i explain it? Okay. Think of it like a public bookmark sharing page. You'd be able to share your frequently recommended internet resources on a page something like favlists.xyz/@username. I'll open it for registration in the coming days.

Then of course my portfolio, seunoyebode.com. It's online, but under construction.

All three built with Laravel and hosted on a $5 Digital Ocean Droplet.

By the way I'm glad to be back.

Hope to make the most of the next 147 days.

<3

      @abrahamKim Haha.

      Your Spotlight was one of the first things I read this morning. I loved it.
      I want to deliberately read your writings more 1) because each time I read it I'm reminded how much I'm missing 2) I have in an idea I want to build in that niche. Something like Netflix for Web novels.

      @seunoyebode

      Wow that is a compliment that is worth more than a trillion likes :) :)

      I've been ideating exactly what you mentioned for awhile now. Here are two experimental projects I kind of spun off awhile back which led me to wanting to have a netflix of web-stories.

      https://joelabe.com/

      You're into laravel. THat makes me happy cause perhaps we might soon be writing code together

      @abrahamKim

      Good stuff. I like joelpeven.com in particular. I think the idea of a web novel in the form of back and forth emails is ingenious. Nice designs too.

      Yeah yeah, I'm into Laravel

      @seunoyebode

      Lol what you use for frontend ? Vue?

      btw... whats your hosting solution for laravel? Do you use Forge?

      @abrahamKim
      Yeah Vue

      Digital Ocean.
      Haven't tried Forge, but I believe with my experience using Git and Digital Ocean, Forge won't be difficult.

      @seunoyebode

      Forge actually makes it so much easier for me.

      Lol I never configure nginx/database/php anymore.

      I'm now thinking about vapor... but it sounds so scary to not have my own server...

      but I think in future serverless will be more what I want.

      @abrahamKim

      Please, i want to be sure of this... When I buy a plan on Forge I DO NOT need to buy a droplet of digital ocean again right?

      @seunoyebode

      haha you do

      actually it's bring your own vps

      forge simply does the setting up of vps's for you.

      so you'll still need that digital ocean droplet.
