A few weeks ago a coworker showed me his Warhammer 40k miniatures. I heard of Warhammer 40k years ago, if I remember correctly, but I never gave it a closer look.

I saw the miniatures of my coworker and was somehow hooked. No, I did not buy a starter-set right away but I am thinking about it.

The last few weeks (since he showed me this small "creatures"), I dug down the rabbit hole of Warhammer 40k. I also looked at the "normal" Warhammer which is more fantasy based, while 40k is based in the future and space. I think it's like Star Trek and Lord of the Rings, either way, you like both or only one of them, and I'm more a Trekkie.

Anyway, I wanted to talk about a Playlist I discovered on Youtube which covers the basics of the Universe. If you want to know more about 40k I think it is a good starting point. I'm not through it yet but it makes a great alternative to listening to the radio all day.

It seems like the Guy (Luetin09) producing the Content in the Playlist knows what he's talking about. And he has a smooth voice, which it is easy to listen to.

And if you're not interested in the Game, you might be interested in the Books which are also Published by Games Workshop themselves. As I've heard they are some pretty good SciFi-Stories.

@phaidenbauer I loved 40k when I was younger. I've recently gone through my collection. The codices (is this the plural of codex?) are still incredible and the novels are great. The Horus Heresy is probably the "most known" saga.

Ooosh, nostalgia. What army were you shown?

@craigpetterson I think it's codices. At least everybody says it. :)

I saw the "new" StartSet Dark Imperium which has Primaris Space Marines and Death Guards. So it's easy for one to get a friend into it as you have to fractions to play right away. Also, a book with the CoreRules is included.
