"I love imagining how were the lives of these people"
It's funny you ask this, as I used to not enjoy visiting museums. I guess it also depends on the kind of museums we are talking about. As a child, I remember the only museum my school took us was the kind of war museum so that must be why! The first time when I travel abroad as a 19 years old young adult, I had the chance to visit the Leonardo Da Vinci museum in Italy. It made me feel very different than my previous experience. Now that I am thinking it is not a bad start at all since he is a genius in both science and art. It followed by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Escher if I may not be a name-dropper. :) I love imagining how were the lives of these people, the chronology of the pieces created, their inspirations, hustles and sometimes even the houses they have lived in, so basically, a museum visiting help me empathize with them a little bit. Most of the time I end up researching more about them and the ages they lived in afterward and respect them more. And time to time even regret that I didn't follow their career path.
