I have been trying to do develop a few habits.
I am able to scratch off writing daily as DONE.
But there are a few that I know I should do and believe me I have tried hacking myself into doing them.. unsuccessfully.
- Waking up early.
I have wanted to wake up early for years.
6.00 am would be the perfect time to wake up. Going to bed early is part of the problem but even when I decide to sleep early - aiming for 7-8 hours of sleep - I still wake up early, I find that I stay in bed right longer - and wake up at the same time. I have no problem getting 9+ hours of sleep but waking up early is getting even harder.
- Cold showers
Wim Hoff is a fascinating character with superhuman immune system. He explains that one of the things he does to improve his immune system is by taking cold showers. I have succeeded in taking a few cold showers but I hated it every time. I want to do it routinely and I want to learn to enjoy it.
Anyone mastered these two things? Any tricks or suggestions you can share?
