Theo caught up with me eventually, panting and looking as upset as the pizza slices he still had in his hands.
"So what are you gonna do then?"
"Oh, um. She said she'll meet me later. You know, for the closing show. Who's playing again?"
"Dude! It's Kygo. Shit, that's gonna be insane. Fucking Norwegians, right?"
"I didn't even know he was playing."
"That's because you didn't do any planning at all for this trip."
Looking at Theo with his bandana, fake ray bans and a fanny pack slung across his chest like an ammo belt, it was hard to believe that all the logistics and planning had been executed by him. But I have to concede it was true.
"Great, just when I try to escape Norway, it follows me here."
Theo put his arm around my shoulder, sometimes it was good having a little brother who was bigger than you.
"Don't worry, it's going to be fine. You have to not think about Lina for a second. Look, this girl seems into you, just let go and have fun."
I gritted my teeth. I felt a sense of dread building up from the bottom of my throat. I just wanted to shut my eyes, open them and not be there anymore. I didn't know where I wanted to be. Not here. Not Norway either.
