So Gabriel writes some of what I think is the most thought out and carefully crafted pieces on this website. However, this doesn't mean I read him first and often. In fact, the quality of his writing makes me feel less inclined to read his posts on a whim. Instead, I make time once in awhile to read them in batches.
I don't know why this is. But I find this pattern true in almost all things.
It's not uncommon for people to set aside reading a great novel for months or years at a time. But they'll read the same amount of words in the form of texts and reddit posts in the next week.
It's not uncommon for people to study while they prepare to build their great business, all the while watching countless other people get ahead of them.
Imagine this. A couple years ago you were in the NBA. And you showed up to the gym at 5 am in the morning... because Kobe was there. And he was the best so you might as well study him. But all you did was watch him shoot hoops. You sat on the benches. Waiting. What were you waiting for?
