My friend and I choose a recipe to cook and learn from it every two weeks. Then next week we put our own twist or make any changes to taste it like how we want it to be.
This week it was Spinach Quiche. I have never made one before so I was looking forward to making it.
Once I started following the directions, I was surprised by how easy it was to make and how many ingredients were involved.
This will definitely be one of the recipes where there is a lot of room to try different ingredients.
Cooking is an art and you just need to figure out the basics first and experiment with it afterward.
The basics of Spinach Quiche are the crust, eggs, milk, cheese, and spinach.
You can experiment with adding ingredients like red peppers, jalapeños, grilled pineapple, spices, etc., You can also experiment with how and where you cook it as well. You can cook it an oven using the muffin baking sheet or a pie sheet and you can cook it on top of a stove as well.
For next week, I am going try and make one without the crust because that's usually the ingredient that I don't have it readily at home (would that be a baked omelet then?).
