Parent post: Awesome August

Excellent idea to plan for an Awesome August.
I usually write out my goals as an end of month review that I hope to write.

Here is my end of August review to be:

1) Completed real estate course and passed the exam- FINALLY.

2) Got the crown for 80% of the month for good sleep and readiness routines on my Oura ring.

3) Resumed #100DaysOfSweat with Brian.

4) Bought a new real estate property to flip

5) Progress on project "Apply 3 books"
   a) Created summaries for:
  Dare to lead
  Genius foods
  How Luck Happens
  Power Moves

 b) Created actionable items for
  Dare to lead
  Genius foods
  How Luck Happens
  Power Moves

 C) Added a new book
 The 10X rule.

6) Rediscovered Weight training to add to Swimming a few nights a week.

7) Attended a Power Weekend for real estate flipping conference in NJ.

8) Completed pre-launch activities for the kickstarter I will have.
        a) Landing page,
        b) Email list,
        c) Campaign video

9)  Completed the real estate course and applied tutorials using Autopilot.

10) Completed tasks and apply lessons from the startup school towards the existing or/and a brand new business idea

11) Participated in multiple butterfly and failure experiment opportunities.

12) Tested the 'How to be Lucky' lessons.

TLDR - Awesome August.

@brianball - I always plan a lot and fall on more than I would have if I planned less. If I am able to get into a system of things, I think it is feasible to accomplish a lot.

Just finished reading the book 10X plan - that may have something to do with the intensity of the list.

@keni - is the 10x plan different than the 10x rule?

@brianball - Lol it is the 10X rule. My mind decided to change the title of the book.

I am not too impressed by the book but I think it has a few things I can learn from it.
I recommend listening to this video rather than reading the book. I was more impressed from the clip than the book.

@keni - I already have a theory about some people being successful -- because the drive created when abandoned by their fathers. This book showed up like that for me when I listened to it on audible.

@brianball - Interesting observation. I didn't think about that before. Yes his intensity is admirable.

Have you written a summary of the book?
I intend to do that this month.

@keni - The 10x Rule really doesn't balance well with Buddhist philosophy. Private Jet? For what? So I can run around making deals and buying things I have to maintain? If I love maintenance, I can grow a garden, clean my house, exercise. I don't need real estate and fancy cars. Enough -- is not a word in his vocabulary. Essentially, it's a coping mechanism turned into an addiction. I just mean those terms clinically, not pejoratively.

@brianball - LOL. I couldn't have put it better. He does seem like he is on something both in the video and in the book. The book felt like it was too much and listening to it at at 1.5x didn't help either.

I want to be able to know when it is ENOUGH. I admire his determination and drive but yeah - it was a bit much. I wanted to read the book after watching the VladTV video to l earn more about secrets to real estate but the book had zero info on that.

I am glad we are on the same page about the book. Watch the video though - you will like it more than the book.

@keni - I'm not down on him at all. That kind of work requires sheer hustle -- and he has it. I just didn't wanted to evolve a bit from being the money-chasing type. It's very unsatisfying, especially in the age of apps and software billionaires. I.e. it's not a game you can actually win.

@keni nice! Sounds like a great plan. I’ve heard a lot about start up school. More and more I think I should have applied.

@craigpetterson - Craig - the last date to apply is August 4 so you can still join the one I am on. From what I understand - they don't reject applications.

Joining the school will definitely make for an awesome August.
