And it is again another random thought day. I just started playing with telegram bots again and with my new Raspberry Pi 4.
The telegram bot is to get familiar again with the API, so I could potentially integrate it into my home automation. Because when I am on the go, a simple command/response structure is pretty convenient.
Sure, you could also make your home assistant instance available through the internet, but that has some disadvantages. If I am writing a bot that's running on raspberry pi inside my network, nothing can happen really.
So that's also the reason why I am playing around with a raspberry pi. :)
I really like the new pi, even though the made a mistake with the power plug. As far as I understand it, if you are using a "smart" USB-C plug, it might be possible that the pi doesn't get enough power. They made a design decision and left one resistor out, which leads to the problem.
If you have got a "dummy" cable or a dummy charger, the problem won't occur.
The next iteration of the pi will have it fixed, as I said, it is just one resistor more. :)
