Last weekend, I'm with my high school friends for a quick 2 days vacation on Puerto Galera, Philippines.
I decided not to touch my social media over the weekend. I really wanted to enjoy the moments with my friends and not to really think about social media. To make it happen, I didn't register for internet data in mobile so that I couldn't access my social media. Plus, there is no wifi in the hotel.
I feel really relax during that time, I have some urges on checking my phone but I've remembered that I don't have internet access.
It was only 2 days of vacations.
When I get back home after our trip. I notice that my minds were really itching to check my social media on what's going on. What are the things happen around the world without me?
You know the feeling when you didn't it for a long period of time and your stomach was really cravings for food to relieve the hunger. I think it was the same when doing a short detox on social media, It makes you crave more when you get access into. I've been catching like crazy in slack, facebook, twitter, Instagram, telegram, emails, and youtube. This was really crazy to know how it really addictive.
I guess this happens as well to drug addict if they got deprived of something that they are addicted to. They crave more than ever.
But I'm really happy 'cause I try this short experiment 'cause I feel fully energized again and ready to face the things that I need to do.
P.S. On a side note, I've scheduled some of my posts but for some unknown reasons that the last one didn't publish maybe because it was in private. Luckily, I got home earlier so I just manually published it.
