Now what?

Imagine you sell a $200 / month product. The cost to deliver it is really close to zero. Sure, there might be some real costs, servers, customer support, etc. But, for the most part, once the machine is working, the costs approach $0 - effectively. For every 60 new customers, you can pay an engineer to help you grow. Spoiler alert: it's software as a service (saas).

If you reach this point you have options. You have breathing room. You have decisions to make. Lots of decisions; none of which you can predict any result with total accuracy. It doesn't much matter.
You have seeds and soil and sunshine.
How do you plant? How do you plow? How do you turn this field into a crop you can haul to market?

Content. Marketing. Blogs. Words. Videos. Podcasts. Conversations. Sales. Email. Chat. Word-of-Mouth. Summits. Speaking. Conferences. Stickers. Engineering as Marketing.

There are lots of ways. You use many of them. You're mixing ingredients like an Iron Chef - on the spot, on time, and plated for a persnickety palette. The judge is the prospect. The customer is the smiling patron.

But, maybe you find a sweet spot. The activity is regulated and predictable. You show up, you do work, the team high-fives at the end of the day. It feels good. It looks good. It is good. Now what?

@brianball - This feels like an awesome problem to have.

    Now you chill.
    Now you write that book.
    Take that trip.
    Make new friends.
    Advice other startups.
    Make a difference.

    :) I have a list for you.
